If I had the chance
Patricky Field
If I knew the day the Earth is going to turn
upside down, I'd save a long minute before it, to kiss your lips and to
transmit you all my faith in a world beyond these days; I’d let you know how
much I need you and that I’d miss you more than the rise of the sun on East.
If I knew it all is going to be finished soon,
I’d bring you next to me no matter distance or time; I’d walk an extra mile
because you would be never way too far for me to carry you home, to have you
near.
If I took all the chances to save the world
alone, I’d start it by putting you safe and sound out from this world, away
from all the perilous and harmful situations, even if I had to give my life
away for it, and then, the rest of the world was under the risk to be destroyed
afterwards.
And I’d never blame you for taking my life
away, because you have given me my life at first, and it is you whom I shall
owe my existence, I lived only due your presence and love.
If I had the chance to see the sun rising on
East for the last time…I’d offer you my inner light to guide you like a beacon
in a huge sea, the sea of my emotions and of the one whom I became only ‘cause
of you.
